How Does Dyad Fusion Work?
Find Intersection between Arcanas in the outer cells |
Find the Average Starting Levels |
Find the Resulting Arcana
Dyad Persona fusions allow you to combine two of your Personas to create a new one.
To determine the resulting Arcana, you must find the intersection between the arcana of one Persona with the arcana of the other Persona in the outer cells.
Find the Average Starting Levels
Next, you will need to find the average starting level of the two Personas you fused and round up if it is a decimal number.
The resulting level will determine which Persona of the resulting arcana is the closest. The equation would look like this:
(Starting Level X + Starting Level Y) / 2 = Level of New Persona.
Sample Dyad Fusion
For example, Temperance Persona + Star Persona = Moon Persona.
Next find the average starting level, Temperance (12) + Star (39) / 2 = 25.5 → 26.
The result is a Moon Persona with a base level of 26, which is Yamata-no-Orochi.
Fusion Accidents
A rare occurrence when fusing Personas is when the resulting Persona is different from the one you initially wanted. These Fusion Accidents can result in either a stronger Persona or a very underwhelming one.
Fusion Accidents rarely happen, so it is not something to be immediately concerned about. However, they happen more often during New Moons, so keep an eye out for the moon's phase before fusing your Personas!

How Does Special Fusion Work?
Acquire All Persona Components
In comparison to the Triangle Fusions of Persona 3 Portable, Special Fusions are much easier. All one needs to do is acquire all the Personas to be used as components for their desired result. The first step is to acquire or fuse these components.
Let's take Fortuna as an example of our desired result. She will need Angel, Silky, and Unicorn. These are Fortuna's components and you need to either acquire them by Fusion or during Shuffle Times.
More Special Fusions Will be Available as You Progress
As you find yourself collecting more and more Personas either through Fusion or exploration, as well as strengthening your Social Links, more Personas will be made available to you via Special Fusion.
Check in with Igor and Elizabeth regularly to see if any new Personas are available to fuse through Special Fusion.
How Does Fusion Search Work?
Fuse by Result
Instead of attempting to fuse Personas and seeing what their results could be, Fusion Search makes it much easier by showing you all fusible Personas based on what you have in your Compendium. You can view Personas that were previous not fusible and fuse them directly from here.
Even Special Fusions can be Viewed
Should you have all the components for a Persona in the Special Fusion, they will also appear in the Search Fusion list. If you're having trouble keeping up with the Personas you need to fuse, be sure to check the Search Fusion list often!
Velvet Room Locations
You can do Persona Fusions at the Velvet Room, which takes place in an elevator. You can find the blue doors to enter it at the following locations:
- Base of Tartarus
- Hidden alley in Paulownia Mall
